With a deep passion for systemic change in social development, S’onqoba has played several roles in several sectors. Most notably, she served as the COO of the Sifiso Learning Group. She started as the second founding employee of the business, with seasoned entrepreneur and leader Sizwe Nxasana at the helm.
S’onqoba is a previous banker with the FirstRand Group; the largest on the African continent by market capitalisation. She worked in roles that included Senior Actuarial Analyst, Brand ROI, Analytics & Research Manager, and Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff to the FirstRand Limited Group CEO.
Her current systemic focus for social development is SMME development. She is the Managing Director of her own business, Perpetu8, which offers niche strategy and implementation consulting to high-growth potential SMMEs. She also drives Strategic Partnerships for Next176, a subsidiary of Old Mutual Limited focused on next-generation insurance through partnerships, venture building and strategic investments.
She served on the Presidential Commission on the Fourth Industrial Revolution after being appointed by the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, to develop an integrated strategy and plan for how the country could lead in this Revolution. She chaired the Integration, Programme Management and Communications workstream in this Commission.
She’s a lifetime member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which honours the top 15% of academic achievers in universities worldwide.
